About Caplight
Caplight's a seed-stage fintech company founded in 2021 backed by Susquehanna, Fin VC, Better Tomorrow Ventures, and others. We're a private market data platform and marketplace for institutions to buy/sell pre-IPO stock (SpaceX, OpenAI, Anthropic). Our clients are investment banks, hedge funds, VCs, mutual funds, family offices, and private market brokers. We are growing more than +100% YoY. The company is small (15 people total, mostly engineers) and we have 4 business team members in total in San Francisco (CEO, 2 BD Associates, and a Chief of Staff).
About the Role
The role touches all aspects of the company including finance, sales/marketing, strategy, product, partnerships, operations, and more.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead new client acquisition and existing client engagement efforts across Caplight’s marketplace and data businesses.
- Manage deal origination and execution processes for Caplight’s marketplace business. You will help oversee Caplight’s marketplace to ensure all opportunities are being addressed and progressing towards closing.
- Create marketing materials and data analyses to be distributed to clients, journalists, and potential new leads.
- Work alongside our Product, Engineering, and Design teams to develop client-facing materials for demo and business development efforts.
- Maintain and improve internal workflows centered around project management, data storage, client engagement.
- Help establish the future technology roadmap based on client feedback.
- Finding creative ways to add value.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant professional experience in investment banking, fintech software sales, private markets (venture capital and private equity), or a generalist role at a fast-growing fintech startup.
- Demonstrated ability to simplify and synthesize complex problems and communicate them to clients and other stakeholders.
- Excellent data analysis and presentation skills.
